PPG-4 Laureth-5 is a water-soluble surfactant that can be produced from petrochemicals or plants. We use the plant-derived form of this ingredient in some of our dishwasher machine detergents for its effective cleansing properties. This ingredient is considered safe for use in this context, though direct skin contact should be avoided.
